All in God’s Time

All in God's Time. Inspiration to wait for God.

All in God’s Time. Inspiration to wait for God.

I don’t know about you, but I am a bit impatient when it comes to my requests of God.  Especially my requests for relief(like from labor pains) or direction. I often wonder what the next step is.  Where should I go from here? I am a homemaker, and a homeschool mom.  Should I be doing more with my time? What does He want me to be focusing on? WHY ISN’T HE ANSWERING ME???

It’s hard for me, nigh impossible, to take a step back from what I consider important or pressing at the moment and see God’s “Big Picture”. Today I was reading in Esther.  If you haven’t read the book of Esther, I strongly encourage you to take a gander at it.  It is a short book and a great story.

I am in awe of the way God Pieced everything together like the unexpected checkmate. He planned ahead, waited for the right time, and executed. literally.

Haman spitefully came to the king to ask for the Jew Mordecai’s death sentence. Instead, in his blind arrogance, he tells the king how best to honor the Jew (thinking it was he, himself that was being honored).  He then has to publicly honor Mordecai at the kings command despite his malice toward him. The book ends with Haman being put to death in a plot twist of poetic justice.

It’s like a well contrived novel, but these are real events, not just a story.  It’s God’s well contrived plan. In case you didn’t know… God is a genius. He know’s  how to fit all the pieces together to form the best overall outcome.  The best story.  We are a part of that story. (It’s a long story, ok?)

Sometimes it’s hard to wait for God’s plans in our lives to take form.  But if everything came together right away, what kind of story would that be? There would be no triumph over evil.  No turning point. Where is the glory in a story with no obstacles. Our God is great, and he knows how and when and where to give us exactly what we need. That’s one of the many things that makes him such an amazing God.

Trust God.  His stories end well.
